Obituary: John T. Marsden, Korean War Army Veteran


On May 8, 2014. Age 85. Lifelong resident of Gloucester City.


Loving son of the late John T. and Isabella Marsden. Loving husband of 62 years to Jean R. Marsden (nee Vasey). Loving father of Connie Roadside of Egg Harbor Twp. and Terry Malkowicz (Paul) of Gibbstown. Cherished grandfather of Dustin and April Roadside. Dear brother of Bernice Raymond, Isabelle Daubert, Blanche Baker, Olive Rumbol and Marion Snyder. Predeceased by his sisters Catherine Conrad and Elizabeth Rondeau (surviving Loren) and his brother James Marsden.


Pete proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a longtime member of American Legion Post #1000 in Trenton. He was an avid follower of Gloucester High School Girls’ softball and basketball teams. Pete was a 32 year member of Teamsters Local union 676. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.


Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Thursday morning, May 15, 2014 from 9 to 11 AM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City.


Funeral service 11 AM in the funeral home.


Interment with military honors will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
