Hit and Run Victim Killed in Camden City ID

User33450-1400030781-media1_fdfdfd_221_240_PrsMe_CAMDEN CITY NJ (May 27, 2014)--Camden County Prosecutor Warren Faulk and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson released the identity of a man killed in a hit and run Monday, and provided information on the person who may be responsible.

The victim was identified last night as Lawrence Stark, M/58, of Clementon.

He was struck shortly before 7 p.m. Monday on the 1500 block of Pershing Street.

The vehicle that hit Stark was a four-door SUV or truck, dark blue or black in color. Witnesses told police the vehicle stopped briefly after hitting Stark, then drove away.

The vehicle was described as having packing tape on the driver's side mirror. It also appears Stark impacted with the passenger side around the middle of the vehicle, and there may also be damage there.

The driver was described as a Hispanic male in his 20s or 30s. He had a high, tight haircut and a light goatee.

Anyone with information on this incident is urged to contact Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Detective Doug Rowand at (856) 225-8514 or Camden County Police Lt. Anthony Moffa at (856) 757-7420.

Information may also be provided by email to ccpotips@ccprosecutor.org and by text message to CCTIP.
