Gloucester City Police Arrest Two Maple Shade Women on Drug Charges

CRIME REPORT May 1st. – May 15th.

GLOUCESTER CITY NJ--May 5 (2:36 pm) An officer responded to the area of Lane Avenue at Thompson Avenue for a report of a male and two females engaged in drug activity. As a result, the following individuals were arrested: Leanna G. Kurnel (22), a resident of Maple Shade, was charged with Possession of CDS (Heroin) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Lauren Gardner (18), a resident of Maple Shade, was charged with Possession of CDS (Heroin), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe. The male, a resident of Thompson Avenue, was released from the scene without charges.

In other matters, 

May 1 (7:11 pm) Josh M. Allen (27), a resident of the 200 block of Middlesex Street, was arrested at the Citgo Gas Station on Broadway for Disorderly Conduct. An officer entered the store after receiving a report that Mr. Allen was inside threatening the employees and customers. When the officer asked Mr. Allen to speak with him outside the store, Mr. Allen told the officer to take off his badge and gun and he would beat him up. Mr. Allen was placed under arrest without further incident. 

 

May 1 (5:57 pm) Joseph “Bonsey” Capone (47), currently homeless, was arrested on Broadway at Essex Street for bench warrants. He was later remanded to Camden County Jail after failing to post bail.

 

May 2 (2:02 pm) Timothy M. McKibbin (35) and Tina M. Wood (38), both residents of Cedarwood Avenue, were arrested on Broadway at Hudson Street for bench warrants. Both were later released after posting bail.

 

May 2 (8:28 am) Richard W. Romanowski (19), a resident of the 200 block of N. Broadway, was arrested Bill Flynn Sports Complex on Johnson Blvd. for Defiant Trespass and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after he was found sleeping in the press box at the Mustangs football field.

 

May 4 (11:01 pm) Nicholas O. Woodard Jr. (25), a resident of Haddon Heights, was arrested on Broadway at Monmouth Street for bench warrants and driving on a suspended license. He was later released on bail.

 

May 5 (6:37 pm) Dennis P. Bachman (35), a resident of the 400 block of Nicholson Road, was arrested on N. Broadway at King Street for bench warrants. He was later released on bail.

May 5 (5:00 am) Danielle M. Smith (29), a resident of N. Broadway, was arrested on Essex Street at Collings Avenue for Possession of CDS (Heroin, Crack Cocaine and Marijuana), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe.

 

May 8 (1:21 pm) Joseph M. Dagostino (21), a resident of the 300 block of Spruce Avenue, was arrested in the 1400 block of Oriental Avenue for bench warrants. He was later turned over to Brooklawn Police.

 

May 8 (7:31 am) Officers responded to a vacant residence in the 200 block of Orange Street for a reported Burglary in progress. As a result, Richard A. Morris (43), a resident of the 600 block of Powell Street, was arrested for Defiant Trespass.

 

May 9 (11:34 am) Timothy J. Givens (36), a resident of the 800 block of Mercer Street, was arrested on Market Street at the Railroad for bench warrants. He was later remanded after failing to post bail.

 

May 10 (7:39 pm) Raymond C. Wilson (30), a resident of Deptford, was arrested on Broadway at Hudson Street for bench warrants. He was later released on bail.

 

May 10 (11:09 am) John J. McCaffery 3rd. (30), a resident of the 900 block of E. Brown Street, was arrested on Sparks Avenue at E. Brown Street for Possession of CDS (Heroin and Prescription Medication) and Obstruction of Justice.

 

May 11 (7:26 pm) Officers responded to a vacant residence in the 400 block of S. Broadway for a reported Burglary in progress. As a result, Robert Burkhardt (56), currently homeless, was arrested for Defiant Trespass.

 

May 11 (10:32 am) Daniel T. Scott (25), a resident of Brooklawn, was arrested on Broadway at King Street for bench warrants. He was later remanded to Camden County Jail.

 

May 11 (12:07 am) A resident of the 300 block of Monmouth Street reported unknown person(s) threw a rock through the window of her residence.

 May 11 (12:00 pm) During the overnight hours nine (9) car burglaries were reported to have occurred. The areas where the burglaries occurred were the 900 block of Chambers Street, 800 block of Mercer Street, 300 block of N. Johnson Blvd, 900 block of Somerset Street and the 400 block of S. Johnson Blvd. The investigation is ongoing.

 May 12 (7:00 am) The owner of a rental property in N. Broadway reported sometime during the previous 24 hours, unknown person(s) burglarized the basement of the residence through a basement window and removed copper piping.

 

May 13 (10:46 pm) Laura L. Laneader (33), a resident of the 100 block of Nicholson Road, was arrested on Essex Street at N. Filmore Street for bench warrants. She was later released on bail.

 

May 14 (8:44 pm) Michael J. Eller (29), a resident of West Deptford, was arrested on N. Broadway at King Street for Possession of CDS (Heroin) and Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe.

 

May 14 (3:39 pm) A 15 year old male from the 400 block of N. Broadway was taken into custody on Broadway at Warren Street for Possession of CDS (Marijuana), Possession with Intent to Distribute, Distribution Within 500’ of a Public Park and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

 

May 15 (3:24 pm) Clarence C. Gramley (28), a resident of Temple Avenue, was arrested on Monmouth Street at the Railroad for Possession of CDS (Heroin) and Defiant Trespass.

 

May 15 (12:05 pm) John J. Gergely 2nd. (35), a resident of the 500 block of Hudson Street, was arrested in the 500 block of Hudson Street for Unlawful Taking of Means of Conveyance and Theft. He was later remanded to Camden County Jail after failing to post bail.

 In addition, Officers responded to (10) Domestic Violence incidents, (19) motor vehicle crashes and made a total of (50) arrests during this time period.
