Mahwah, NJ – dressbarn, who has been providing women a value priced destination for fashion and amazing gift giving ideas for decades, is partnering with the story preservation organization StoryCorps this Spring to celebrate mothers and stories of motherhood.
Visitors to the Tell Me a Story microsite (www.yourdressbarn.com/tellmeastory) are invited to share their most memorable Mom story, either written or in audio form, from now until May 11. The chosen winner will receive a trip for two to Chicago to record his or her special story in a StoryCorps booth, along with a $500 dressbarn gift card. To reinforce their mission of preserving history through storytelling, StoryCorps archives each recorded conversation in the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress.
"For decades, we've been dressing women to help celebrate their experiences and express their unique points of view," said Lori Wagner, CMO at dressbarn. "Mother’s Day is the perfect time to give Moms – who have always been great listeners – a chance to do the talking."
“We are delighted to be partnering with dressbarn this Mother’s Day to celebrate Moms,” said Dave Isay, founder of StoryCorps. “We hope that, as people share their stories, this becomes a memorable and meaningful Mother’s Day not only for their Moms, but for them as well.”
