Linda J. Pohle (nee Houston) of Conway, SC, formerly of Sea Isle City, NJ, passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 19, 2014, while surrounded by her loving family. She was 65.
A loving woman with a huge heart, Linda loved helping other people and was devoted to her family. She was born in Woodbury, NJ on April 6, 1948 and was a graduate of West Deptford High, Class of 1966. Linda loved to travel and she did so extensively, along with her husband Gerry, to many destinations worldwide. She enjoyed sampling the varying cuisines from country to county and often tried to recreate them at home. Reading a good book, laughing with friends old and new and spending time with her family were just a few things that Linda loved to do. She touched many lives and will be sadly missed by all.
She is the beloved wife of Cortland Pohle, III “Gerry”; devoted mother of Michele Rehill and her husband Tom of Brigantine, NJ; loving grandmother of Ryan, Matthew and Sarah Rehill; dear sister of John Houston and his wife Joanie of Canon City, CO and sister-in-law of Michael Pohle and his wife Theresa of Flemington, NJ; special aunt to Nicole and Sean Pohle; She is preceded in death by her mother, Jeanne Houston; brother, Joseph Houston; father-in-law, Cortland Pohle, Jr. and nephew Michael Pohle, Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Linda’s viewing on Thursday 5:30-7:30 PM and a visitation Saturday 11-11:45 AM followed by a Memorial Ceremony at 12 Noon in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury, NJ.
