Joe Barth, Founder of the Brooklawn American Legion Baseball, Services Thursday and Friday


 Mr. Joseph W. Barth, a longtime resident of Brooklawn NJ, died on Saturday, March 1, 2014. He

(December 28, 1921 to March 1, 2014)

was 92. His wife Helen, who was 91,  just died six weeks ago. The couple were married for 66 years. 

 A graduate of Penn State, Mr. Barth founded his own accounting firm, Barth Taxes located in Brooklawn. He was also one of the original founders of the Brooklawn American Legion Baseball program.

He is survived by two sons, Joseph, Jr. (Jane) and Dennis (Kelli), a daughter, Joanne Mazzola (Dan) and the late Robert and John. Loving grandfather of Jennifer, Robert, Susie, Danielle, Chris, Jeff, Monet, Bryan, Brooke, John, Bobby, and Nicole. Dear father-in-law of Mary Barth. Brother-in-law of John Gallagher. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and dear friends Dr. Robert Nannay “Dink”, Bo Jenkinson, Sue Oropallo (the late Dr. Anthony Oropallo), and Dan and Bea Mazzola.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing Thursday evening from 6 to 9pm and Friday morning from 9 to 10am at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, at 11am at St. Mary’s RC Church, Monmouth and Atlantic Streets, Gloucester City, NJ.

Entombment New St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Bellmawr.
