$20,000 Reward For Information on the Unsolved Suspicious Death of Carol Reiff

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP NJ (February 25, 2014) --The Gloucester Township Police Department is requesting information regarding the death of Carol Reiff of Lakeview Apartments in Gloucester Township, New Jersey. Carol Reiff last spoke to family members on Thursday June 20, 2013. Miss Reiff had plans to travel to Manahawkin, NJ to visit family on Friday Morning, June 21, 2013. Miss Reiff never arrived and the family contacted police. Her body was discovered by police on Monday Morning, June 24, 2013 in the a wooded area of the Lakeview Apartment Complex in the Blackwood Section of Gloucester Township, not far from where Miss Reiff lived.

Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk and Gloucester Township Police Chief Harry Earle reported an identity has been confirmed for the woman found deceased in woods off Route 42 Monday.
Dental records allowed for positive identification of the victim as Carol Reiff, a 59-year-old woman who was reported missing Friday, June 21. An autopsy performed Monday night was unable to determine a cause of death due to the body’s state of decay. Cause and manner of death are listed as “pending” at this time.
Though Reiff’s death has not been ruled a homicide by the Medical Examiner’s Office, the Prosecutor’s Office and Gloucester Township Police Department consider the inquiry into the circumstances surrounding her death as a criminal investigation. An investigator from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office homicide unit was assigned to the case Monday, shortly after Gloucester Township and State Police officers found Reiff’s remains in woods near her Lakeview Apartments residence.
