Mrs. Catherine R. "Cass" Murray (nee Brassill) a lifelong resident of Gloucester City, NJ died on December 23, Wp0eba7fc8_06 2013 at the age of 92 years.


Beloved wife of the late Gloucester City Councilman John Murray.Predeceased by her dear sister Josephine Cerrone (Tony), andbrothersJosephBrassill(Jean) and FredBrodowitz(Alberta).She is survived by her loving nieces and nephews Maureen Collins (Bernie), MichaelCerrone(late Gayle), PatrickCerrone(Margaret), John R. Murray (Donna), Jackie Christenson (Jack), Anne Brown (Dennis), BarbaraKingkiner(Frank) and the late PatriciaBrassill, and many great nieces and nephews.


Cass was a devoted parishioner of St. Mary’s Church. She was a member and Past President of the 3rd Ward Women’s Democrat Club, a member and Past President of the Ladies Aux. of Gloucester Fire Co. #4 and was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Giese #439, the Gloucester City Sr. Citizens and the Gloucester Chapter of Deborah Hospital.


Relatives and friends are invited to meet Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00pm and again Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30am at the ETHERINGTON-CRERAN FUNERAL HOME 700 Powell St., Gloucester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 11:00am at St. Mary’s RC Church 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester. Entombment to follow New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial donations in Cass’s name be made to the Office of Aging, c/o St. Mary’s Church, 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City, NJ 08030. www.etheringtonfh.com
