Halloween
Duck Dynasty's Uncle Si made an appearance at the Mustangs Halloween Party.  60s Coach Tim Simons was the man under the beard.
On October 26th-27th, the Gloucester Mustangs hosted the Maple Shade Tigers at the 60, 80, and 95 pound levels.  The 60s entered a battle of the unbeatens vs. the Tigers.  The game was everything it was built up to be and some.  Maple Shade came right out first drive and scored on Gloucester, the first team to score on them in the last 4 weeks.  From that point on, it was a back and forth game.  Maple Shade led 20-12 at the half, but the Mustangs scored early in the 4th quarter to tie the game at (26-26).  The Tigers came right back with a long time consuming drive to score the go ahead TD giving them the win, and Gloucester's first loss of the season.  The 60s record is now (6-1) on the season.
  • The 80s also battled the Maple Shade Tigers, who are also the defending champions and were riding a 14 game winning streak into the Saturday's matchup.  This game would be a lot different for the Tigers.  The Gloucester defense shut down the visiting Tigers with a great tem performance.  Derek Levins, Kaleb Wright & Maddox Zane combined for a few tackles for loss and Zane forced a fumble that Wright recovered.  Dominic Ryan added a 2nd half interception for the Mustangs.  On offense, the Mustangs rushing attack continued to flourish with the O-line and backs opening up holes most of the day.  Jacob Zearfoss scored 4 TDs and an extra pt for the 80s and John Daily added another extra pt.  Gloucester moved to (7-0) on the year giving Maple Shade their first loss of the season.

  • The 95s faced another unbeaten team with the Maple Shade Tigers coming to town.  Even though this was a David vs. Goliath matchup, the Mustangs fought hard.  After the Tigers went up 6-0 on the first drive, the Mustangs answered right back with a long TD run by Steven Burkhardt.  Maple Shade would then control the rest of the game on their way to a 40-12 victory.  Steven Burkhardt also ran for the Mustangs second TD.  The 95s record fell to (1-6) on the season.
The 110s hosted the Seneca Eagles looking to snap a 3 game losing streak.  Jarred Matchet scored two TDs, one of which was a touchdown pass from Gavin Callahan.  Callahan also threw for two extra points to Joey Pinto.  Gloucester's offense wasn't enough to hold off the Eagles as they fell (26-14) to Seneca.  The loss was the Mustangs 4th in a row, and their record drops to (3-4) on the year.
  • The 130s traveled to Robbinsville to face the Ravens.  Gloucester found out this week that the Oaklyn Cougars played their first two games with an ineligible player, so the Mustangs would get a forfeit victory.  With that in mind, the Robbinsville game became much more important as Gloucester pushes for a home playoff game.  The defense stepped up big allowing just 14 pts to the first place team in the Northern Conference.  Treyvon Jackson, Shayne McCabe, and Joe Shipp had some big tackles for the Mustangs' defense.  On offense, Austin Pilloro caught two TD passes from Nathaniel Kidd and Brandon Rivera ran in Gloucester's other score.  The win combined with the Oaklyn forfeit pushes Gloucester's record to (5-2) on the year still fighting for a chance at a home game in the playoffs.
The 80s JV traveled to Burlington Twp to face the Falcons.  Hector Sanchez scored two TDs, and Jaden Sori added another.  Jake Seibert threw for two extra points to Dom Ryan and Ayden Daily as the Mustangs won 20-7 pushing their record to (5-1) on the season.
  • This weekend on Nov 2nd, the Mustangs host the St. Peter's Saints, 60s at 11 am, 80s at 1 pm, 95s at 3 pm.  The 110s host the Florence Flashes at 5 pm.  And the 130s host the Seneca Eagles at 7 pm.  On Mon Oct 28th, The 80s JV will host the Sterling Knights and the 60s JV will travel to Washington Twp to fac the Minutemen.  This is the last week of the Regular Season.
