Gloucester City PD Crime Report October 21st through October 28th

CRIME REPORT

October 21st. – October 28th.

10/21/13 (3:25 pm) A resident of the 1100 block of Market Street reported sometime during the day, unknown person(s) entered her residence through an unlocked first floor window and stole a lap top computer and jewelry.

10/22/13 (10:09 am) A vacant residence in the 100 block of S. Burlington Street was found to have been burglarized and copper piping was stolen from the basement.

10/22/13 (1:39 pm) Officers responded to Gloucester City High School for a report of a bomb threat called into the school. The school was evacuated, searched and the threat was determined to be unfounded. The investigation is ongoing.



10/22/13 (8:47 pm) A resident of the 500 block of Cumberland Street reported sometime overnight, unknown person(s) slashed two of his car tires.

10/22/13 (7:50 pm) William R. Hyatt Jr, (26), a resident of Fernwood Avenue, was arrested on Rt. 130 for bench warrants. He was later released on bail.

10/22/13 (9:16 pm) Kwame D. Cooke (19), a resident of Camden, was arrested on Broadway at King Street for bench warrants. He was remanded in default of bail.

10/23/13 (12:33 pm) The following four parents / guardians were charged with violating the city ordinance prohibiting parents / guardians from allowing their children to be excessively truant from school:
Howard Frame (40), a resident of Chestnut Street in Brooklawn
Tina Chadwick (44), a resident of Third Street
Kimberly Miller (44), a resident of Thompson Avenue
Joseph Avant (35), a resident of S. Burlington Street

10/23/13 (7:27 pm) Christopher J. Salvatore (51), a resident of N. Broadway, was arrested on Broadway at Middlesex Street for bench warrants. He was later released on bail.

10/23/13 (10:30 pm) A motor vehicle stop on Broadway at Morris Street resulted in the arrests of two males:
Xavier S. Tarver (18), a resident of Brooklawn, was arrested for Possession of CDS (Marijuana), Possession of CDS with Intent to Distribute and bench warrants. He was later releases on bail.
Jaheem L. Burns (26), a resident of Camden, was arrested for Possession of CDS (Marijuana) and bench warrants. He was turned over to Deptford Police to satisfy the warrants.

10/24/13 (1:33 am) Officers responded to the Maple Terrace Trailer Park for a disturbance. Upon arrival a female resident reported she had a male guest at her trailer and they became involved in a heated conversation, fueled by a night of drinking. During this conversation, the guest scattered pet food throughout her kitchen and then left. No charges were signed at this time.

10/25/13 (11:15 am) James F. Harris (37), a resident of Monmouth Street, was arrested on Broadway for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and bench warrants. He was later turned over to Deptford Police to satisfy the warrants.

10/25/13 (11:41 pm) Robert A. Browne (57), a resident of Chester, PA, was arrested on Rt. 130 at Market Street for Possession of CDS (Prescription Medication) and driving without a license.

10/26/13 (1:03 pm) William L. Middleton (24), a resident of Cumberland Street, was arrested on Baynes Avenue for bench warrants and driving on a suspended license. He was later released on bail.

10/26/13 (5:47 pm) Officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of Cumberland Street for a disturbance. As a result, Ariel Oehlert (30), a resident of Cumberland Street, was arrested for Obstruction of Justice and Resisting Arrest.

10/26/13 (7:46 pm) A resident visiting a friend in the 500 block of Bergen Street reported unknown person(s) stole his bicycle from the front of the residence while he was inside.

10/26/13 (9:21 pm) A resident of the 500 Block of Bergen Street reported unknown person(s) broke one of her front porch windows.

In addition, officers made a total of (27) arrests, responded to (6) domestic violence incidents and (6) motor vehicle crashes.
