DRWC Building Pier 68 Into Public Space for Recreation (Specifically for Fishing)

Request for Proposals: Improvements to Pier 68

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA--The Delaware River Waterfront Corporation is seeking proposals from qualified design/build consultants to prepare a design and construction plan for improvements to Pier 68 in South Philadelphia. The project will occur on an aggressive schedule with implementation to begin in early 2014 and completed by early Fall 2014. The goal of the project is to develop Pier 68 into an attractive public space for recreation (specifically for fishing) and passive enjoyment of the Delaware River. The project is intended to enhance the existing interim trail which runs from Pier 70 Boulevard to Washington Avenue along the river.

Proposals should be for both design and construction services; there will not be a separate competitive bid process for construction. The design team will first deliver design and construction documents
