2013-14 Women's Basketball Schedule
PHILADELPHIA - The Atlantic 10 Conference has announced the complete schedule for the 2013-14 women's basketball season. La Salle will play a 16-game league slate beginning on January 2.
The Explorers will face four opponents twice in a home-and-away series, including city rival Saint Joseph's, Rhode Island, St. Bonaventure, and league newcomer George Mason. The Explorers and Hawks will face each other on national television on Sunday, Jan. 19, at 5 p.m. when CBS Sports Network broadcasts from Tom Gola Arena.
The squad will also host Dayton, Massachusetts, Richmond and VCU at Gola Arena, while traveling to Duquesne, Fordham, George Washington and Saint Louis.
The Atlantic 10 schedule features contests against two 2013 NCAA participants - Dayton and reigning league champion St. Joe's. Three 2013 WNIT participants are also on the league slate, including Duquesne, Fordham, and Richmond.
The squad opens up the league season at Rhode Island on Thursday, Jan. 2., before traveling south for a contest at George Mason on Saturday, Jan. 4. The A-10 home opener is set for Wednesday, Jan. 8, when the Explorers welcome VCU to campus.
The 2014 Atlantic 10 Championship will be held at the Richmond Coliseum from March 5-9, with a play-in game on Wednesday, March 5, before the first round games on March 6.
The complete 2013-14 La Salle women's basketball schedule, including the nonconference slate, will be released in the coming days.
