PITTSGROVE, N.J. - Gloucester Catholic (Gloucester City, N.J.) had its advantage, which at one point stood at 13 points, drop to six before the final
whistle blew on a 19-13 victory over Schalick (Pittsgrove, N.J.).
After taking the lead on a touchdown in the first quarter, the Rams were up 13-7 at the half.
Gloucester Catholic expanded its lead to 12 points entering the fourth quarter. GC's lone score in the quarter came on a passing touchdown.
In a non-conference game next week Schalick (0-1) takes on Gloucester City, and Gloucester Catholic (1-0) will go up against Berne-Knox-Westerlo also in a non-conference game.
