On 8-28-2013, at approximately 12:49 P.M. the Gloucester Township Police Department (GTPD) received a call from an alert citizen, who indicated that two suspicious people had burglarized a residence and now were running through the woods directly behind the house. The suspicious males then entered a vehicle and began to drive away from the area.

The caller was able to provide a vehicle description to the dispatch center, which was broadcasted to the responding patrol units. GTPD officers quickly located the vehicle, which abruptly turned away from the first patrol unit. The passenger then jumped from the moving vehicle and began to run through the neighborhood by Twelfth Ave. The vehicle sped off and was later stopped on Evesham Road. The fleeing male was later apprehended after being tracked by a GTPD K9 Team and were found hiding in a recycling trash can behind a neighboring apartment comple x.

Officers confirmed the house's door was forced open and several pieces of jewelry, cash and other valuables were stolen. The property was able to be returned to the owner.
