Adult Arrested For Spray Painting Graffiti On Business

On 8/28/2013, a Gloucester Township Police officer on random patrol observed a male committing criminal damage to a vacant business by spray painting graffiti on the side of the building. The building, a former supermarket, is located at 1431 Blackwood Clementon Road in Gloucester Township.
The accused, 19 year old, Philip Atene, from Morris Avenue in Blackwood was observed standing next to fresh spray paint while holding a spray can. Philip Atene was also found to have an existing warrant from Gloucester Township Municipal Court when he was taken into custody for the Criminal Mischief damage to the vacant building. Philip Atene was released on bail for the existing warrant and the Criminal Damage charges with a pending court date.
