Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk and Gloucester Township Police Chief Harry Earle reported a shooting Monday night that left one dead and another injured.
Lamar Ortiz, M/20, of the Autumn Ridge Apartments on the 1500 block of Little Gloucester Road in Gloucester Township, was shot multiple times in the parking lot shortly before 9:30 p.m. Monday. Ortiz was taken to JFK Hospital Stratford and pronounced there at 10:35 p.m.
An 18-year-old male from Marlton who was at the apartment complex at the time was grazed by a bullet during the shooting. His injuries were minor.
Law enforcement is seeking a shooter in this incident. The Gloucester Township Police and the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office recognize that the community plays an important role in keeping our streets safe.
