Mount Laurel Police Arrest Two on Prostitution Charges | cnbnews.net

ARREST (PROSTITUTION): Mount Laurel Police arrested Sharon L. Cowin, age 27, of the 700 Handcuffs6 block of Columbia Street, Hudson, NY, and Rahkeim K. Scarlett, age 31, of the unit block of 105th Street, Troy, NY, on July 3 for Prostitution. They were arrested at a hotel on the 600 block of Fellowship Road at 1:30 PM. Cowin was charged with engaging in prostitution and Scarlett was charged with promoting prostitution. Cowin was committed to the Burlington County Minimum Security Facility in lieu of $3,500.00 bail and Scarlett was committed to Burlington County Jail in lieu of $6,500.00 bail.

THEFT: A customer of the Funplex on Route 38 reported a theft. A wallet and contents, valued at approximately $600.00, was taken from a purse while being carried. The incident occurred at 1:40 PM on July 3.
  • THEFT BY DECEPTION: An employee of East Coast Event Rentals reported a fraud. A patron rented various items, valued at approximately $6000.00, using a fraudulent credit card. The incident occurred on May 23.
THEFT: A guest of the Hotel ML on Route 73 reported a theft. A Samsung Galaxy phone, valued at $350.00, was taken from a bathroom while left unattended. The incident occurred at approximately 6:00 PM on July 3.
  • ARREST (DWI): Mount Laurel Police arrested Jennifer R. Philpott, age 45, of the 100 block of Calderwood Lane, Mt. Laurel on July 4, for Driving While Intoxicated. She was stopped on SH 38 at 12:02 AM and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing. Officer A. DiPeri was the arresting officer.
THEFT: A member of the Larchmont Swim Club reported a theft. A purse and contents, valued at approximately $400.00, was taken. The incident occurred sometime between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM July 4.
  • ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: (Innisfree) A resident of the 100 block of Farnwood Road reported an attempted burglary to a residence. The incident occurred on July 4, between 9:00 AM and 9:45 AM. Entry was attempted at the front window. The suspect fled the scene when the resident turned on the inside lights. Damage is estimated at $350.00.
THEFT: (Ramblewood) A resident of the 100 block of Ramblewood Parkway reported a theft. A landscaping pond, valued at $200.00, was taken from the front lawn of the residence. The incident occurred between 1:00 PM, July 1, and 1:00 PM, July 5.
  • FRAUD: An employee of Wegmans on Centerton Road reported a fraud. Unidentified actor(s) presented two $20.00 counterfeit bills for the purchase of merchandise. The incidents occurred between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM on July 2.
