Surrounded by his loving family, on June 4, 2013. Age 81. Of Gloucester City. Rosary Loving and devoted husband of 52 years to Elizabeth A. (nee Underwood) Loving father of Timothy (Sharon), William Jr., Patrick (Nancy), Christopher (Stefanie) and Joanne. Cherished grandfather of 20. Also survived by his sister Mary Jane Collins and sister-in-law, Nancy Gartland. 

Bill was a graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School class of 1949. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and retired from Bell Telephone. Bill was elected and served on Gloucester City Council then was elected Mayor of Gloucester City from 1974 to 1982. 

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his viewing on Saturday morning from 10 AM to 12 Noon at St. Mary’s R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday 12 Noon in the church. Inurnment will be private in New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
