Camden County Police Arrest Two Suspects Carrying Handguns/cnbnews.net

On Friday, June 28, at 11:46 p.m. Camden County Police Department Sgt. William Frett was
flagged down by a resident at 7th and Elm streets in North Camden about a white male nearby carrying a gun. Sgt. Frett quickly located the suspect, who attempted to flee, and detained him.
Michael Winkler, 31, of Parkesburg, Pa., was found to be in possession of a loaded, .40 caliber Taurus handgun. Winkler was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and remanded to the Camden County Jail.
In an unrelated incident, Camden County Police Department Officer Romelia Villegas-Diaz stopped a vehicle at Broadway and Royden in the Lanning Square neighborhood at 1:46 p.m. on Thursday. Upon approaching the car, a Cadillac owned by Marquis Hart, 32, of Camden, officers saw a .38 caliber handgun on the passenger side floor. The gun was loaded with five rounds. Police also recovered more than $5,000 in cash from inside the vehicle.
Suspect Charles Alford, 29, of Camden, who had prior warrants exceeding $27,000, was arrested and charged with Illegal Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose and Certain Persons not to Have Weapons. Hart was charged with obstruction for interfering with the arrest.
