Philadelphia: Attempted Robbery of Bank of America/ See photos

The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the attempted robbery on Friday, May 24of the Bank of America branch located at 2439 Welsh Road in Northeast Philadelphia.

At approximately 11:35 a.m., the subject entered the bank and handed a teller a demand note. The subject eventually fled the area of the bank without obtaining any money.

The subject is described as a white male, approximately 25-30 years old, about 5’8” tall, thin build, with a blond mustache and goatee and tattoos on both sides of his neck. He wore a gray baseball cap, navy blue hooded zip-front sweatshirt with NIKE across the chest, blue jeans, white sneakers, and clear surgical gloves.

This subject is believed also to be responsible for Saturday’s robbery of the Citizens Bank branch at 2702 Kirkbride Street in the Bridesburg section of the city.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about these robberies or this subject is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to this subject’s capture; tipsters can remain anonymous.
