April 2, 2013

Andrew McCloskey (DOB 11/29/71), of 600 Riviera Dr, Williamstown NJ has been charged with illegal disposal of the body of a 40-year-old Atco NJ woman found in her car in Berlin Township NJ Jan. 31, 2012. The woman had died of a drug overdose.

An investigation by Det. Brandon Cohen of the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office and Det. Greg Wolfe of the Monroe Township Police Department led to the second-degree charge.  McCloskey was placed in the Gloucester County Jail 3/28/13 in default of $25,000 bail.

The investigation determined that the victim met McCloskey in January 2012 shortly before the discovery of her body and went with him to his residence at the time, 52 Harrell Ave., Williamstown. The following day, after returning from work, McCloskey found the woman deceased in a bathroom of his home.

According to the findings of the detectives, the deceased woman was placed in the back seat of her Suzuki vehicle and driven by McCloskey to Bishop Ave., Berlin Township and left there. McCloskey had contacted an acquaintance, Jade Williams (DOB 2/23/87), of 351 Oklahoma Ave., Williamstown and she followed him to Berlin in her car, then drove McCloskey home..

Police were never notified of the woman’s death.  A Bishop Ave. resident reported the discovery of her body.

In addition to charging McCloskey, the detectives issued a municipal court summons to Jade Williams in connection with her alleged role in moving the body.
