Mrs. Sophia Harris,  age 94, passed away on Good Friday, March 29, 2013, in Selma, Ala.  Mrs. Harris is survived by her daughters, Theresa Striedieck (Frederick), and Christine Toughill. Grandchildren;Julianna Hunter, and Steven Toughill (Nikki). Great grandchildren, William C. Cobb, Sarah Toughill, Gabrielle Toughill, and Patrick Toughill, and great-great-grandson, Aaiden Santos.Also cherished niece Marie Alterie.  She was also blessed with a dearly loved second family; Stepchildren Leon Harris (Shirley), and Sandra (John). Grandchildren; Leon Harris (Theresa), Steven (Ilene), and Dale (Deborah). Grandchildren: Andrew, Keri, Angela, John, and Michelle. 

 Mrs. Harris was a longtime resident of Brooklawn, NJ. She served as President of the Ladies Auxiliary of Townsend C. Young VFW Post #3620 for several years. She loved to crochet and made many beautiful items. She also crocheted baby hats for infants and lap rugs for nursing homes. She was an avid cook, and loved to bake, and spend time with her family and friends. She moved to Selma, Alabama, three years ago to be with family and continued her hobby of crocheting infant hats and items for the less fortunate. 

Mrs. Harris was cremated and an Interment Service will be held April 29, 2013, at New St. Mary's Cemetery in Bellmawr, where she will be placed along side of her beloved husband, Leon Harris.
