CROSSING GUARD INJURED BY HIT-AND -RUN DRIVER

GLOUCESTER CITY NJ. February 28,2013 The Gloucester City Police Department is currently seeking to identify the driver of a black car that struck the school crossing guard at Market and Joy street yesterday morning 2/27/13 at approximately 7:45 am. The crossing guard was assisting a truck driver with directions when a vehicle passed the truck and struck the crossing guard knocking her to the ground. The crossing guard suffered a broken foot and wrist as a result of the accident. We do not have any other information on the driver or vehicle at this time and are currently investigating. The driver may not have known that he or she struck the crossing guard. If anyone saw anything or knows who it is please call 456-0901.
