JANUARY 18,2013-On January 17, 2013 at 9:30 PM, officers of the Gloucester Township Police Department responded to the area of the Cherrywood Apartments for a suspicious person. A 16 y/o female reported that as she was walking throught he parking lot of the complex, a vehicle pulled along side of her and the driver attempted to engage in a conversation with her. The female ignored the person and continued to walk throught the parkinglot. The driver then pulled his vehicle past the female and into a parking spot ahead of her. The driver then reversed the vehicle and partially blocked her path. The female continued to ignore the driver and walked home. Once home, she contacted her friend who was with her shortly before this incident. Her friend, a 17 y/o female, reported also being approached by a similar person operating a vehicle that matched the description from the previous incident.

 

This female reported that the driver exited his vehicle and walked along side of her attempting to talk to her while in the area of the Gloucester Township Recreation Center. This female also ignored the driver, who went back to his vehicle and then drove away in an unknown direction.

 

At no time did the person attempt to get them in the vehicle. The suspicious person is described as a dark complexted black male, approximately 5'6" in height and spoke with an accent. Although there were two male subjects in the vehicle, there was no description of the passenger. The vehicle is described as a red or burgundy 4 door vehicle with a New Jersey registration.
