Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines says her doctors discovered the clot during a follow-up exam Sunday. Reines says Clinton is being treated with anti-coagulants. She was admitted to New York-Presbyterian Hospital so doctors can monitor the medication over the next 48 hours. Reines says doctors will continue to assess Clinton's condition, "including other issues associated with her concussion." Clinton, 65, fell and suffered a concussion while at home alone in mid-December as she recovered from a stomach virus that left her severely dehydrated. The concussion was diagnosed Dec. 13 and Clinton was forced to cancel a trip to North Africa and the Middle East that had been planned for the next week. Clinton was also forced to cancel Dec. 20 testimony before Congress about a scathing report on the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans. By CAMERON LANGFORD HOUSTON (CN) - The Houston public school system demoted a counselor for truthfully reporting that her high school's administration inflated its graduation rate so it could get an "Acceptable" rating from Texas, the counselor claims in court. Sabrina Norman sued the Houston Independent School District in Harris County Court. She claims that the high school administration was so desperate to graduate students that it gave them 40 hours of credit for attending a 4-hour Baptist Church service. Norman was hired to work at Sam Houston High School in June 2008, and as the school counselor it was her job to schedule students' classes. While doing so, she says, she became concerned by excessive absences on students' records. "On those documents, the students did not earn credits for the listed courses because the students had excessive absences," the complaint states. Norman says students need 24 credits to graduate.... Television screens were filled with would-be presidential candidates. During Republican primary debates, much was done by the media to “undress” the candidates. A selection was made. Gloucester County Freeholder Director Robert Damminger and Freeholder Lyman Barnes said that applications will be taken for the federally funded Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) now through April 30, 2013. “LIHEAP assists low-income households with their electric, gas, oil and other types of fuel. This critical federal program can make a big difference to help residents who struggle to keep warm in the winter because they cannot afford their energy bills,” said Freeholder Director Robert Damminger. The NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife is informing recreational anglers about regulatory changes regarding black sea bass and American shad effective January 1, 2013. For the first time since 2009, the recreational black sea bass fishery will be open from January 1 through February 28. The minimum size limit remains at 12.5 inches and the possession limit will be 15 fish. These regulations pertain to both New Jersey state waters as well as Federal waters. Also, effective January 1, 2013, all American shad fisheries (both commercial and recreational), with the exception of the Delaware Bay, Delaware River and its tributaries, will be closed (no possession, take or harvest). The recreational possession limit in the Delaware Bay, Delaware River and its tributaries will now be 3 fish with no minimum size and an open season all year. The Maxwell Club, the oldest football club in America, announced today that Rutgers University linebacker Khaseem Greene was chosen as the Club’s 12th Brian Westbrook Tri-State Player of the Year. Greene was one of three unanimous Big East first-team selections after leading the league with 125 tackles and ranking among the conference leaders in sacks (5.5), tackles-for-loss (10.5), passes defended (7), interceptions (2), fumbles forced (6) and fumbles recovered (2). GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP NJ-On 12/21/2012 just after midnight, the Gloucester Township Police Department received an alarm activation for a residence on Brookline Drive in Gloucester Township. Very shortly after, police dispatch then started receiving reports of a dwelling on fire. First arriving police officers located the dwelling emitting heavy fire. Officers confirmed all the residents of the burning dwelling had safely escaped the structure. Due to the very heavy fire load and gusting winds, first responding fire department units immediately began deploying large diameter master streams to protect adjacent dwellings. Police units meanwhile began evacuating nearby residents from their homes. Fire departments from numerous fire districts from central Camden County responded to the scene to fight the two alarm fire. Public Works Superintendent Steve Ciachetti said, "The sidewalk was undermine apparently by Hurricane Sandy. It just gave way. No one was injured. The front-end loader was not damaged." We were told originally by the person who submitted the photo that the driver of the front end loader fell into the river and was injured. When that scenario was mentioned to Ciachetti he said no such thing happened.
