On 11-19-2012 at approximately 11:00 AM an alert resident observed a suspicious male in a neighbor's yard and contacted the Gloucester Township Police. The resident reported seeing the subject breaking into the back door of the residence.
Arriving Gloucester Township Police officers observed the subject running from the back of the house towards a neighboring home and jumping a six foot high privacy fence. Officers chased the subject through several yards until they lost sight of the male when a yard to yard check of the area was conducted by officers. While officers were checking the yards, another alert citizen informed an officer that there was an unknown male in their rear yard. Officers quickly located the fleeing male in the rear yard where officers arrested him after a brief struggle.
Located in a trash can were the clothing worn by the suspect and the proceeds from the burglary that he had just committed in this neighborhood.
