Brooklawn Police Investigating Multiple Burglaries to Businesses, Residences and Cars; STAY ALERT

OCTOBER PRESS RELEASE

 

 

(cnbnews.net)The Brooklawn Police Department is currently investigating multiple Bpdpatch burglaries to businesses, residences, and cars.  We are asking that you please remember to lock and secure all doors and windows, even if you are leaving for only a short period of time.  Anyone with any information regarding any of these incidents please contact the Brooklawn Police Department.

 

 In other matters, 

 

 

On 10/2/12 officers were dispatched to the area of Timber Blvd and New Jersey Rd for suspicious persons in the area.  Officers located Kelvin Jeffery Williams, 23, of Bellmawr and Jermeal Curtis Walker, 25, of Brooklawn in the area.  The two were both found to have active warrants for their arrest.  Jermeal was charged with Obstruction of Justice after he gave Officer’s a false name and was later found to be in possession of marijuana.  Both were brought to Police Headquarters, processed, and released pending court date.

 

On 10/2/12 officers were flagged down on the 300 block of Browning Road by a resident who stated that sometime between 2pm and 4pm an unknown actor threw an unknown object at the victims rear window and broke it.  No entry was made into the residence.

 

On 10/3/12 Officers arrested Lisa Marie Foltz, 42, of Gloucester City for forgery after cashing a money gram/order at the Wells Fargo Bank that was determined to be fraudulent.  She was processed and released with a pending court date.

 

On 10/6/12 officers responded to a burglary of a motor vehicle in the Brooklawn Shopping Center.  A witness provided officers with a description of one of the suspects who entered the victim’s vehicle and removed a black book bag.  The witness also gave officers the license plate for the suspect vehicle.  A pick up and hold was then broadcasted for the suspects vehicle.  A few hours later a Deptford Police Officer found the vehicle along with the two suspects and the victim’s belongings.  The two were identified as a Mychal E. Jones, 21, of Williamstown, and Monika M. Piatek, 21, of Franklinville.  The two were processed and released with pending court dates. All the stolen items were returned to the owner with the exception of one book.   

 

On 10/6/12 Officer’s arrested Lee Andrew Wimberley Jr., 49, of Brooklawn for Lewdness.  Two juvenile females said he began to urinate in front of them exposing his private parts.  The accused was located at his residence and arrested. He was processed and released.

 

On 10/8/12 officers responded to the 500 block of Chestnut Street for a report of theft.  The victim stated that he had some workers in his residence helping him install some pipes.  During this time the worker’s girlfriend, who was allowed to be in the residence, went into another room and stole two gold chains from his dresser.  The victim didn’t know the identity of the suspect’s.  Anyone with information on this incident contact the Brooklawn Police.

 

On 10/13/12 a vehicle was traveling on Route 130 south between the east and west traffic circles when an unknown actor(s), most likely juveniles, threw rocks from atop the train tracks on the overpass and struck a vehicle.  The vehicle sustained only minor damage and luckily no one was injured.  This incident is of serious nature and always has the potential of turning into a tragedy.  Brooklawn Police are asking anyone who has information or possibly knows the identity of the actor(s) in this case to contact them.   

 

On 10/13/12 Officer’s arrested Juan Gabriel Echevarria, 35, of Gloucester City when he an Officer observed him smoking marijuana while he casually walked down the 400 block of Browning Lane.  As the Officer was exiting his cruiser the accused discarded the “bowl” and tried to deny it.  The paraphernalia was located in the grass in the area where the Officer observed him smoking it.  He was charged accordingly and released.   

 

On 10/14/12 Officer’s arrested Edward Brian Anelini, 41, of Mantua for Defiant Trespass and Panhandling.  Anelini was informed by Officer’s on a prior date that he was no longer allowed on the Clancy’s Pub property because of his constant panhandling.  When the Officer’s responded on this date they located the suspect in his vehicle and initiated a motor vehicle stop on Clancy’s Pub parking lot.  Anelini was processed and released with his criminal charges and also motor vehicle summonses.  

 

On 10/16/12 officers responded to a house fire on the 200 block of Bergen Street.  When officers arrived on scene there was heavy smoke coming from an upstairs room.  Within seconds of Officers arriving and knocking on the door the occupants exited the house. Officers then evacuated both houses to the left and right of the house on fire.  At that point the Fire Department arrived on scene and took control of the incident.  One male hurt his back during the evacuation and Brooklawn E.M.S. rendered aid to him.  No other injuries were reported and the fire was put out quickly.    

 

On 10/17/12 an unknown actor broke the passenger side rear vent glass of a vehicle on the lot of CJ’s Autobody.  No entry was made into the vehicle.  The incident took place between the hours of 6pm and 12:30am.  If anyone has any information regarding this incident please contact the Brooklawn Police.  

 

On 10/19/12 John James Kopfle, 43, of Bellmawr was stopped for a motor vehicle violation.  Through further investigation Officer’s determined that the driver was under the influence of intoxicating liquor and or drugs.  Kopfle was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated and transported to Police Headquarters.  He was issued numerous motor vehicle summonses and released to a sober adult.

 

On 10/20/12 Bernadette Ann Sidlow, 41, of Westville was stopped for a motor vehicle violation.  During the course of the stop Sidlow was found to have multiple warrants for her arrest.  She was arrested, issued motor vehicle summonses, and released after posting bail.

 

 

On 10/24/12 Officer’s responded to a call in the Brooklawn Shopping Center for a female driving around the parking lot asking people for money.  The Officer’s located the vehicle and after a brief investigation arrested the suspect Danielle Louise Okmen, 22, of Delran for possession of drug paraphernalia.  The suspect was also found to have active warrants for her arrest.  She was transported to Police Headquarters were she was processed and remanded into the Camden County Jail.

 

On 10/26/12 officers arrested Andre Keith Brody, 18, of Camden City on the 300 block of Chestnut Street for soliciting without a permit in the Borough of Brooklawn.  The accused was employed by Palmco Energy and was going door to door without proper documentation.  He was processed and released with a summons.   

 

On 10/26/12 Stephen Paul Smarrito, 25, of Glendora was stopped for a motor vehicle violation.  Through further investigation Smarrito was found to have an active warrant for his arrest.  He was arrested and issued numerous motor vehicle summonses.  Unable to post bail he remanded into the Camden County Jail.  

 

On 10/25/12 Kenwyn Alan Garcia, 38, of Camden City was stopped for a motor vehicle violation.  During the course of the stop the accused was found to have active warrants for his arrest.  Garcia was processed and released after posting bail.  

 

On 10/27/12 Officers responded to the Shop Rite in the Brooklawn Shopping Center for a male who was making threatening statements to the 1st call for help hotline.  Officer’s found Thomas R. Fallon Jr. and arrested  him for disturbing the peace. He was processed and then transported to Underwood Memorial Hospital for evaluation.

 

On 10/28/12 Jamie Dennis Larkin, 23, of Sicklerville was stopped for a motor vehicle violation.  Through further investigation the Larkin was found to have an active warrant for his arrest.  He was brought to Police Headquarters processed and remanded to the Camden County Jail.

 

On 10/30/12 a white male wearing camouflage shorts, black t-shirt and a tan baseball cap walked up to the counter at the Dunkin Donuts on Browning Road in Brooklawn and grabbed the money out of the tip jar that was on the counter.  When confronted by the employees the suspect ran out of the Dunkin Donuts’ in an unknown direction.  Police were unable to locate the actor.  

 

On 10/30/12 Brian Allen Moore, 43, of Camden City was stopped for a motor vehicle violation.  Through further investigation the accused was found to be wanted for violation of parole.  He was arrested and remanded into the Camden County Jail on a no bail warrant. 

 

On 10/30/12 Sharon Lynn Cryzewski, 33, of Berlin was stopped for a motor vehicle violation.  During the course of the stop Cryzewski gave police false information regarding her identity.  She was arrested for hindering apprehension and then was found to have active warrants for her arrest.  She was processed and remanded into the Camden County Jail.

 

On 10/31/12 Frankie Brian Ingalls, 33, of Somerdale was stopped for a motor vehicle violation.  Further investigation revealed two warrants for his arrest one from Camden City for $250.00 and another out of Gloucester Township for $400.00.  He was processed and released on his own recognizance.
