“Holiday on Haddon”
Friday, November 30th , 2012
The Parade of Lights sponsored by the Westmont Fire Co. 1 begins at 7:30 pm at the corner of Strawbridge and Haddon Ave. Santa makes his way down Haddon Ave. and magically lights the Haddon Township Municipal Building. Residents are then welcomed to the Fire House for light refreshments and a chance to sit on Santa’s lap. All children will be given a complimentary photo and frame.
Holiday Toy & Food Drive
The Holiday season should be a time of magic and joy for children everywhere, but sadly, it is not. Families in Haddon Township are struggling with budgets that cannot meet basic household needs, much less provide gifts for the holiday.
Mayor Randall W. Teague, Commissioner Paul Dougherty, and Commissioner John C. Foley are once again sponsoring a town-wide toy and food drive for families in need. Donations of unwrapped toys, non-perishable food items, gift certificates and monetary donations are being accepted at the Municipal building, Annex building, all Haddon Township schools and the Westmont Fire Co. 1 through December 17th.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will ensure that Township families will experience everything the holiday should bring---magic, joy, love and perhaps most of all, hope.
