The Burlington County landfill has been closed and trash pickup suspended by Waste Storm_alerts Management. All Palmyra residents are urged to remove any trash bags, containers and bulk items remaining at the curb, cover all containers and store appropriately to avoid spillage and contamination with storm water.

The Palmyra Halloween Parade scheduled for Tuesday, October 30th has been postponed until Thursday, November 1st. Same time, same place. Check online for updates atpalmyrahalloweenparade.com

PALMYRA COMMUNITY CENTER IS YOUR LOCAL EMERGENCY SHELTER

Governor Chris Christie has declared a state of emergency, ordered closed all state offices and suspended NJ Transit services.

All essential Borough staff including Police, Public Works, and Office of Emergency Management personnel have reported however. Borough Hall is minimally staffed in order to assist residents.

The Palmyra Community Center has been declared one of three Burlington County Emergency Shelters and residents are directed to that facility if emergency services are required or evacuation necessary. The address is 30 W. Broad St., Palmyra, and the phone number is (856) 829-1144. The other Emergency Shelters are Fountain of Life in Florence and Churchville School in Medford.
