NEW PALTZ, NY  – Forward Amy McKeever scored the winning goal for the Rowan University field hockey team in a 2-1 victory at SUNY New Paltz on Sunday afternoon.

McKeever (jr. West Deptford, NJ/West Deptford) recorded the game-winner at 65:51.  She knocked in a loose ball during a scramble in front of the New Paltz cage. It was her fifth goal of the season.

Rowan has an 8-3 record while New Paltz is 6-4 overall.  The Profs were ahead 1-0 after the first half.  Forward Kellie Campbell (so. Clark, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson) scored at 32:55 with a pass from the right side by midfielder Karlee Henderson (so. Elmer, NJ/Woodstown).  Midfielder/back Jessica Caruana (fr. Holbrook, NY/Sachem E.) tied the score at 54:32.  Her goal came on a penalty corner with an assist from midfielder Danielle Conklin (jr. Suffern, NY/Suffern).  

The Profs produced 21 shots while the Hawks had 17.  Goalie Jen Goldberg (sr. Clark, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson) made nine saves in the Rowan cage.  For New Paltz, goalie Antonija Pjetri (jr. Suffern, NY/Suffern) stopped 11 shots.

Next, Rowan hosts Wesley College on Wednesday, October 3 at 7 p.m.
