Glassboro (N.J.) defeat Gloucester City (N.J.) 45-23 after a strong game fromCorey Clement, who rushed for five touchdowns. Thanks to the stand out performance the senior now has eight touchdowns on the season.


The Bulldogs were up 25-15 at the half after taking the lead on a Clement touchdown run in the first quarter.

Glassboro saw its 10-point halftime lead fall to nine entering the fourth.

GHS secured its victory by scoring 13 points in the fourth quarter to push the final margin to 22.

The Bulldogs' standout player in the win was Clement. The senior running back caught one touchdown. A member of the Top 25 Big Backs, Clement has now scored eight touchdowns on the season.

Glassboro also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 40-20.

The defeat comes as a step back for Gloucester City, which notched a 36-0 victory over Salem in its previous outing. The loss snapped the Lions' 3-game winning streak.

Gloucester City (3-1) will play a West Jersey - Classic game against Clayton next week, while Glassboro (2-1) will take on Schalick in a West Jersey - Diamond game.
