Laurel Springs: Homeowner Held At Gunpoint, Gagged and Bound

**UPDATE - This investigation has revealed that the victim's of this incident were believed to have been targeted because of their legitimate employment at a local jewelry store. It is believed that this crime was not a random act, and that these victim's were specifically targeted. The identity and the location of their place of employment is being withheld to protect the victims.

On 7-28-2012, at approximately 09:50 P.M., The Gloucester Township Police Department responded to Jefferson Drive, Laurel Springs section of Gloucester Township for a report of an armed robbery. The homeowner had arrived home and found his wife in a back bedroom gagged and bound with zip ties with a pillow case placed over her head. Upon the officer’s arrival, they found her still tied up with the zip ties and they had to be cut off. She suffered only minor injuries and refused medical treatment at the scene. She stated that she arrived home after 09:00 P.M. and was walking to her bedroom, when suddenly two black males, wearing ski masks, armed with black handguns appeared from a second bedroom. They were demanding jewelry and money. When she told them there was no jewelry or money, one of the males told the other to shoot her. They then zip tied her hands and feet together and placed a pillow case over her head. They then grabbed her diamond engagement ring and wedding band off her finger. They eventually fled out the rear of the residence.

Suspect Description:

Two black males wearing black ski masks and dark clothing. One of the males was between 5-10 and 5-11 and spoke with a Jamaican accent, however the accent may have been a ruse.
