On July 11, 2012 at approximately 03:09 A.M., the Gloucester Township Police were dispatched to the area of Sicklerville Road at Jarvis Road for report of an intoxicated female who was reported to be going in and out of consciousness while on a NJ Transit bus. While on the bus, and trying to care for and render aid to the female, Tiesha Y. Dean, she became combative towards the officer along with two Kennedy Health System EMS employees, who were also dispatched for this medical assist.
Tiesha Y. Dean was not cooperative while the emergency responders tried to render medical aid, and punched one EMS employee and then began to repeatedly punch the police officer in the head. The female was so violent that the officer had to utilize his OC "pepper" spray to assist in restraining her. The EMS employee was not seriously injured during the assault, however, the officer was later seen at a local hospital emergency room for minor injuries sustained during the assault and released. There were reportedly no other passengers on the bus at the time of this incident.

The accused, Tiesha Y. Dean, was transported to police headquarters and charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault. She was remanded to the Camden County Jail in default of a $15,500/10% bail set.
