Most Camden County offices will be closed on Wednesday, July 4. Please plan any business you may have with the county accordingly. The Camden County Department of Public Safety reminds all residents that the 911 system is for emergency calls only. The county’s dispatchers and local police departments are not able to inform residents of the locations and times of fireworks displays or parades in their area. Ozone Action Day Declared

The State Department of Environmental Protection is warning that ozone levels are forecast to reach the “unhealthy for sensitive groups” category across New Jersey this weekend. Ozone levels are rising due to westerly winds, mostly sunny skies, and high temperatures. Sensitive individuals including the very young, the elderly, and persons with respiratory diseases such as asthma, should avoid strenuous outdoor activities during the afternoon and early evening hours. Mobile Ventilation Unit assists First Responders
Camden County has acquired a new Emergency Mobile Ventilation Unit through the Office of Emergency Management. The unit, purchased with Homeland Security and Port Security Funds, is the only one of its kind on the East Coast. It gives the region’s firefighters and first-responders greater control over the environment inside a structure by allowing them to regulate the movement of smoke, heat and harmful gases during an emergency.

Atlantic League All-Star Game
The Riversharks are hosting the Atlantic League All-Star Game on July 11 at 7:05 p.m. Camden County residents can get tickets for only $10, children under 12 are free with the purchase of an adult ticket. Road Closure Gibbsboro-Kirkwood Road
Beginning July 16 and continuing for two weeks, the intersection of Gibbsboro-Kirkwood Road (CR684) and Hilliards Road will be closed daily from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for underground utility work. Please plan alternant routes.

Cultural and Heritage Jazz Series
The Camden County Cultural & Heritage Commission presents its 7th annual “Jazzy July” series. This free outdoor concert series is on the grounds of the Historic Hopkins House, located at 250 S. Park Drive in Haddon Township in Cooper River Park. Bring your lawn chair or blanket and get comfortable this free artistic offering by the Camden County Freeholders.
