Good Evening, this is William Lowe Emergency Management Coordinator for Tabernacle Township with an important public safety message for the residents of the Patty Bowker/Zimmerman Road/Washington Way areas of the Township (including Gamain Road and Lillian Street.
The Burlington County Mosquito Division advises that it will be treating the area for adult mosquitoes tomorrow, Tuesday, July 31st, weather permitting, between at 7:30 PM and 9 PM.
While the pesticide is harmless to people, it will be applied in a mist form by a truck-mounted sprayer and residents are encouraged to stay indoors while the treatment occurs.
This action by the County Mosquito Division should serve as a reminder to you that you should take precautions against mosquitoes, by using mosquito repellent, wearing long sleeves and long pants, and limiting outdoor activity when mosquitoes are most active, during dawn and dusk.
You should also clean or remove any items on your property that can collect rain or sprinkler water and serve as a breeding ground for mosquitoes, such as clogged gutters, flowerpots, bottle caps or old car tires.
So please remember to be alert for the spraying Tuesday night and keep your family pets and children indoors during any application.
