Obituary: Dorothy J. Cheeseman, age 96, formerly of Gloucester City

On June 13, 2012, of Pitman, formerly of Gloucester City, NJ, age 96. She was the beloved wife of the late Duncan W., loving mother of Carole (Tony) Russo and Marcia (Ralph) Richards, cherished grandmother of Andrew (Summer), Lisa (Jeff), Donna (Jerry), Kathy, Nicole, Bubba (Danielle), and great grandmother of Jeff, Madison, Noah, Jenna, John, Zach, Billy, and Paige. Also surviving are special nieces Marylou (Tony) Furfari, Dot Evans, Pat (Harry) Purnell, Nancy Parker, and long time friend, Mary Jane Nash.

Dorothy loved going to the casinos and traveling and was a member of the Gloucester City Senior Citizens, former treasurer and choir member of 1st Presbyterian Church of Gloucester City, and former air raid warden.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet Wednesday from 10-11AM at the ETHERINGTON-CRERAN FUNERAL HOME, 700 POWELL ST., GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ. Dorothy's funeral service will be held at 11AM at the funeral home. There will be no evening viewing. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dorothy's name may be sent to Pitman Manor Associate Campaign, 535 N. Oak Ave. Pitman, NJ 08071.
