Joseph J. Mulderig Jr., of Bellmawr, US Post Office Employee, Member of American Legion Post 72 and VFW Post 9563

On June 27, 2012. Age 55. Of Bellmawr, NJ and formerly of Berlin, NJ. Passed away at home.

Loving son of the late Joseph J. Mulderig, Sr. and Rita M. (nee McConnell). Dear brother of Rita Toy (nee Mulderig) and her husband Edward, and Maureen Glezman (nee Mulderig) and her husband, the late Daniel Glezman. Devoted uncle to David Glezman, Patrick Glezman, Mandie Walker (fiancé of Patrick), Kathleen Toy and the late Edward. E. “Ted” Toy, Jr.  Great uncle to Maclian and Rawley Glezman. Lifelong friend to Joseph Wadsworth and family of Williamstown, NJ.

 

 

Joseph was born in Philadelphia, PA, raised in Berlin, NJ and was a graduate of Paul VI High School in Haddonfield, NJ. He enlisted in the Navy after high school and served for four years. Upon returning home, Joseph enrolled in Rutgers University in Camden, and left before completing for a position with the United States Post Office where he was employed until his death. Joseph made many friends during his tenure with the USPS and he is remembered fondly by the coworkers who knew him. He was a member of the Brooklawn American Legion, the VFW Post #9563  and ventured on a retreat each year with the Men of Malvern. 


Joseph was an avid fisherman and huntsman, and had a penchant for storytelling, with which he often amused his family and friends. Joseph will be remembered as a loving and devoted brother, uncle, and friend. 

 

Relatives, friends and coworkers are invited to his visitation on Sunday evening from 7 to 9 PM and again on Monday morning from 9 to 10:15 AM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning 11 AM at St. Mary’s R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Interment with U.S. Naval Honors in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin.  

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Brooklawn American Legion: 11 Railroad Lane, Brooklawn, NJ 08030 or the VFW Post # 9563: 52 Essex Ave., Bellmawr, NJ 08031.
