Down the Shore: Coast Guard Recovers One Boater in Absecon Bay

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — The Coast Guard recovered a boater after the skiff he was aboard capsized in Absecon Bay in the vicinity of the Route 30 causeway bridge Saturday.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay received a call at approximately 3:20 a.m. from a member of the Brigantine Police Department reporting there was a capsized boat with three men aboard in Absecon Bay.
Two of the men made it to shore and were located by a member of the Brigantine Police. The other man was located by an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City and recovered unresponsive by the crew aboard a Response Boat - Small from station Atlantic City. The man was then transported back to the station and transferred to awaiting emergency medical personnel.
