HOBOKEN, N.J. (June 26, 2012) – After an extensive nationwide search, Megan Haughey (Pittstown, N.J.) has been named the head women’s basketball coach at Stevens Institute of Technology. Stevens Director of Athletics Russell Rogers (Branchburg, N.J.) announced the news on Tuesday. (JUNE 25) MANASQUAN, N.J. ─ The Coast Guard responded to an ill 47-year-old man aboard a 97-foot charter vessel approximately 20 miles east of the Shark River Inlet here Monday, J. Assisted was Ron Jackson. A crewmember from the charter boat Golden Eagle, contacted Coast Guard watchstanders at about 11 p.m. via VHF-FM radio reporting Jackson was ill and needed medical care. A 47-foot Motor Life Boat crew from Coast Guard Station Manasquan Inlet arrived on scene and transferred an emergency medical technician, from the station, aboard the Golden Eagle. I for one am thrilled to see the development of Freedom Pier. Unfortunately, people have already vandalized it by breaking lanterns along the walking path and ripping the trash disposals doors off. Also, the red-brick walking path that was designed for people to enjoy has now become a chalkboard for little ones. Now, with summer upon us, people are fishing from the pier leaving their gear and bait everywhere.
