Obituary: George A. Petreshock age 83, of Westville


George A. Petreshock of Westville, NJ passed away on May 17, 2012 at the age of 83.

George was born in Simpson, PA and was a chemist for Hazel Bishop Company. His life was very involved in the Boy Scouts of America since 1940 and received the distinguished 50 year veteran award in 1994. He was Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 19 and 36 of Camden, NJ. George was very proud to have achieved Eagle Scout and Order of the Arrow in LEKAU Lodge. He was a member of Delaware Valley Earth Science Society and American Federation of Mineralogical Societies.

Survived by 2 sisters Barbara {Edward} Janda; Delores Ruple; sister in-law Gloria Petreshock and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service 12:00 Noon on June 2, at the Ellis-Stiefel Funeral Home 301 Highland Ave., Westville, NJ where friends may call after 10:00 AM. The Family reqest donations be made in his memory to the Good Shepherd Dining Room 46 Central Ave., Bridgeton, NJ 08302. Memories and condolences may be shared @
