Motor Vehicle Crash Involving A School Bus

On 5-18-2012, at approximately 11:35 A.M., A Gloucester Township School Bus was stopped for the red traffic signal at the intersection of Erial Road and Little Gloucester Road and was struck in the rear by a vehicle. The driver, Anthony Ross Jr., was operating a 2011 Nissan Pathfinder and impacted the rear of the school bus. Both vehicles sustained damage as a result of the crash, however, the Nissan Pathfinder sustained heavy front end damage. Anthony Ross Jr. was found to be operating his vehicle in violation of 39:4-50, Driving While Intoxicated. He was also found in possession of Marijuana and had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was transported to Cooper Hospital for medical evaluation. There were five students on the school bus and they were transported to JFK Washington Twp for medical evaluation and were released later in the day.
 
Arrested:
Anthony Ross Jr., Age 29 400 Block of Blackhorse Pike, Blackwood, NJ 08012. He was charged with Aggravated Assault by Auto, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Use and Under the Influence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance
