Philadelphia, St. Joe’s host Atlantic 10 Women’s Basketball Championship

For the eighth time in conference history, Saint Joseph's University hosted the Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship. From March 2-5, the Hawks' Hagan Arena boasted over 8,600 fans during the 11-game tournament, surpassing daily attendance from the previous three years by more than 1,000 fans per game.

On the court, three Philadelphia schools competed for the A-10 crown as La Salle, Temple and the host Hawks all made it to the quarterfinals, with the Owls and Saint Joseph's advancing to the semifinal round and nationally televised games on CBS Sports Network. 

St. Bonaventure would go on to claim the 2012 crown and the automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
