KYRILLOS STATEMENT ON THE 2nd ANNIVERSARY OF OBAMACARE

“…we must repeal ObamaCare.”

Middletown – March 23…
Today, New Jersey State Senator Joe Kyrillos issued the following statement on the second anniversary of ObamaCare:

“Just last week, the CBO released two devastating reports about ObamaCare that brought to light what everyone suspected, but that President Obama and Senator Menendez tried to hide from the American people when they rammed their bill through Congress – first, the law would cost nearly twice as much as originally forecast — $1.76 trillion as opposed to $938 billion; and second, 3 million to 5 million will lose health coverage through their employer each year from 2019 through 2022.  These reports would be shocking, if we didn’t already have our suspicions that President Obama and Senator Menendez were trying to put one over on the American public.  But the American public will not be fooled; according to today’s Wall Street Journal, more people have an unfavorable opinion of ObamaCare now than in the immediate aftermath of the divisive debate.  More than half of Americans disapprove of ObamaCare.

“Since Bob Menendez was appointed by Jon Corzine to fill his seat in the Senate, the national debt has jumped from $8.1 trillion to $15.3 trillion, the annual deficit has grown from $250 billion to over $1 trillion and unemployment has risen from 4.7% to 8.3%.

“Today is the second anniversary of ObamaCare and the country simply cannot afford to see its third anniversary.  We need to develop bipartisan, free market solutions that strengthen the doctor-patient relationship.  In order to do that, we must repeal ObamaCare.”
