INMATES “SERVING” TIME IN SHERIFF’S TENTS NEARING 500,000 MARK

WATER SHOW AND COATS OF HOPE SHOW BOTH OPEN THIS THURSDAY, MARCH 1,

Coat-front2CHESTER COUNTY ART ASSOCIATION presents, in its large Allinson Gallery, a juried group show comprised of almost 200 pieces united by the theme of Water.  The show features an impressive array of artwork in all media, both representational and abstract.  Juror for the show is accomplished and widely-collected artist Donna Usher.  A Professor of Art at West Chester University, she is represented by the LGTripp Gallery.  Her complete bio can be found at www.donnausher.com.

On display in the Huston Gallery is an exhibition entitled Coats of HopeCoats of Hope is an exhibition of art coats created by the Cancer Survivors’ Art Therapy group that meets at Chester County Art Association.  The embellished and tailored coats are as varied as the artists who have made them.  They are meant as an individual expression of each person’s

hope in dealing with the experience of cancer.

 

The Opening Reception for both shows is this Thursday evening, March 1, from 5-8pm.

The Reception is free and open to the public.

 

Both shows run through April 5.
