CENTERTON ROAD/BRIDGE CLOSING

        On Monday, March 5, 2012, the Bridge over Parker's Creek located on Oldie00034Centerton Road at the Moorestown-Mount Laurel Township line, will be closed by the Office of the County Engineer, Burlington, for repairs. Centerton Road, from Hartford Road to Country Club Drive, in Moorestown Township, will also be closed.

 

        Work on the bridge will be from 7:30 AM. TO 4:30 pm. The bridge will remain closed at all times during the construction.

 

                     The bridge will reopen on Friday, March 23, 2012 at 4:30 PM.

 

        The only vehicles which will be permitted access to Centerton Road from Hartford Road, will be those needing access to the businesses along Centerton Road, from Hartford Road to Country Club Drive, those needing access to the Laurel Creek housing development, and authorized emergency vehicles.

 

        Drivers of unauthorized vehicles may be charged with "Operating a Vehicle on a Closed Roadway," (39:4-94.2.b) and upon conviction, may be fined up to $100.00, and two points will be assessed by the Commission of Motor Vehicles on that drivers record.

 

        Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes of travel, PRIOR to the actual closing, and to follow posted detour routes.

 

        The contractor for the project is Albert Marine Construction, Inc. (609-693-5524)

                                       This is not a Township of Moorestown project.
