ATLANTIC CITY ALLIANCE SET TO REIGNITE TOURISM BUSINESS WITH MAJOR REBRANDING CAMPAIGN FROM EURO RSCG


Choosing the Award-Winning Agency Marks Major Step by the ACA to Broaden Appeal of the Legendary City

 

ATLANTIC CITY (Feb. 7, 2012) — The Atlantic City Alliance (ACA) announced today that it has selected Euro RSCG New York as its new advertising agency of record.  Euro’s sister agency, MPG, will serve as media partner for the new initiative. The agency selection is a significant step toward putting in place a large-scale media campaign to support the Atlantic City revitalization program enacted by Governor Christie and the New Jersey legislature. 

 

The ACA is tasked with rebuilding the perception of New Jersey’s travel and leisure mecca and broadening its appeal among travelers throughout the Northeast corridor. Atlantic City, still the second-largest gambling center in the U.S., is poised for rediscovery as more than just a gaming destination. The locale, through the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA), has also recently adopted the Atlantic City Tourism District Master Plan as a blueprint to revitalize the area and position Atlantic City for sustainable, long-term economic growth and job creation. 

 

The next step for the ACA will include finalizing the brand and media campaign program to launch as the spring travel season approaches. The ACA is excited to begin the work of promoting the great breadth of offerings that exist among the city’s substantial tourist attractions. From world-class dining and entertainment to boardwalk and beaches, Atlantic City has something to offer everyone. As part of the process, the Alliance will seek input from interested parties in the community; a community forum will be scheduled to collect insights and recommendations on potential marketing strategies and tactics.
