On 12/31 at 2237 officers responded to S. Broadway for an intoxicated female walking in and out of traffic.  They located the female at Center and 9th Streets.  The female became belligerent toward officers when they attempted to ascertain her information and she began to yell at them in the street causing a disturbance.  Janice Burkhardt (57) of the 100 block of S. Filmore Street was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct.


On 12/31 at 1733 an officer observed an intoxicated male walking in the street on N. Broadway at King Street.  The officer advised the male to walk on the sidewalk, at which time the male had a few choice words for the officer and told him, “No.”  The officer then stopped the male and observed a large bulge in his jacket.  When asked what it was, the male stated, “Beer and a gun.”  The male then began to act irate and refused to answer the officer’s questions.  Joseph Connolly (44) of Philadelphia was then placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct.  While being escorted to the patrol vehicle, Connolly threw himself on the ground and refused to stand up.  He then kicked the officer multiple times.  Connolly was restrained and transported to headquarters where he was additionally charged with Resisting Arrest.


On 12/31 at 1242 an unknown white male stole soap and body wash from the CVS.


On 01/01 at 1329 officers responded to the Dollar General for a male masturbating in the store.  They located the suspect in the underwear aisle.  The male stated he has psychiatric issues and randomly masturbates.  The male was transported to crisis for evaluation.


On 01/01 at 0216 officers responded to a fight at King and Monmouth Streets.  Scott Loughlin (22) of Woodbury was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct after refusing to leave the area and attempting to fight another male while officers were on location.


On 01/02 at 0422 officers responded to the Liquor Barn for an alarm activation.  On arrival they observed the front window broken.  The store was ransacked and cash was stolen from the register.


On 01/02 at 0400 officers responded to the Broadway Food Mart for an alarm activation.  The front window was found to be broken.  No entry was made into the store by the suspect(s).


On 01/05 at 1120 a business on the 800 block of Jersey Ave reported that on 01/02 and 01/04 unknown suspect(s) stole light fixtures from an open container outside of the business. 


On 01/05 at 1501 an officer attempted to stop a male on a bicycle on the 500 block of Morris Street.  The male ran the bicycle into the police car and fled on foot.  After a brief foot chase, the suspect was arrested.  Nicholas Simon (29) of the 100 block of Mercer Street was arrested and charged with Possession of CDS (heroin), Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe, Obstruction of Justice and Resisting Arrest.


On 01/05 at 2043 a resident of the 300 block of Ridgeway Street reported that on 12/24 her wallet was stolen from her vehicle.


Additionally officers responded to 12 domestic violence complaints, 5 motor vehicle accidents and made 21 arrests.
