Gloucester Township Police Arrest Hostile Intoxicated Man

On Thursday night, January 5th, 2012 shortly after 10PM, Police Officer Nicholas Aumendo responded to the 500 block of Seneca Court for a disturbance call.

Upon his arrival, he encountered a hostile intoxicated male who was shouting at the residents and refusing to leave the property. Officer Aumendo attempted to calm the male and obtain his address at which time the male was uncooperative and displaying aggressive behavior. The male then rapidly came at the officer, who was able to push the subject away, however the subject took an offensive fighting stance, with fists raised, and told the officer that he better call for back-up. Ptl. Aumendo quickly subdued the male with the use of O.C. pepper spray and secured the male in handcuffs. The male was transported to police headquarters where he was charged, processed and then remanded to the Camden County Jail in lieu of bail. There were no injuries during this incident.
