GIVING TREE A GREAT SUCCESS

The annual Gloucester City High School Giving Tree Program provided a Christmas holiday to more than 100 families in the community this year. The Student Council and Leo Club members, along with Gloucester Catholic High School Interact members, have been working since November collecting toys for needy children.

The gifts were delivered by club advisors and community members on December 20 so they could be placed under the family Christmas tree.

The Student Council, Leo Club members and Advisors would like to thank the following for their part in helping families in need have a brighter Christmas this year:

Bayer’s Tavern, Biothane LLC, Kelly Boland, Albert Countryman, Carr’s Hardware, Coette’s of 1961, Brittney Dolson, Kathy Genzano & Friends, Gloucester Catholic High School, Gloucester City Education Association (GCEA), Gloucester City Fire Department, the many staff members of Gloucester City Public School District, Gloucester Towne Seniors John Herman, Karen Lado & Family, Lions Club, Mr. Louis, the Joseph Oat Corporation, Bruce Parry, Shirley Prunty & Gorman Manor Seniors, Rotary Club, Lisa Schiamana and sons, Fran and Louis Stief, and the Westbrook Lanes Bowling Alley.

A special thank you to the Gloucester City Swim Club for its support of the program, and contributions and assistance with delivery this year. This program would not be possible without your continued support!

  Have a wonderful New Year!

Gwen Herman, GHS Student Council Advisor

Rachel Clancy/Tom Young, GHS Leo Club Advisors
