Dear USO Supporter --
I've had the honor of going on USO tours, doing my best to entertain our troops and telling them face-to-face how much we appreciate their service. And I can tell you, this time of year it's more important than ever to let them know they're At Home in Our Hearts.
This holiday season, the USO has been working around-the-clock to share care packages, free phone calls home, special holiday meals, entertainment tours and so much more. But the deadline to contribute to the USO's At Home in Our Hearts campaign is midnight tomorrow, so I'm writing to ask you to lend your personal support right now.
And, to give you even more reason to step up for our troops right now, a generous anonymous donor has agreed to match dollar-for-dollar any gift made to the USO up to $350,000 before midnight on December 31 -- doubling your impact for our troops.
It's the small gestures and comforts of home that are so hard to come by in places like Afghanistan. Every chance to connect with family and friends means the world to our troops, and every opportunity to enjoy a few moments at a USO center with some buddies provides much-needed relief.
